Flippos Compression Socks - Under The Bridge
Description
The origin of the marathon can be traced back to the ancient Greek legend in 490 BC, where the messenger Pheidippides ran 42.195 kilometers from Marathon to Athens to deliver news of victory. After completing his mission, he collapsed from exhaustion and died. In honor of his heroic deed, the marathon became an iconic event in the Olympic Games.
Over time, the marathon craze has swept the globe, and Taiwan is no exception. Nowadays, Taiwan hosts more than 300 marathons and related road races each year, attracting a large number of runners. Running has gradually become a part of daily life, gathering enthusiasts from different generations and cultural backgrounds.
In Taiwan’s running culture, “Fuhe Bridge” holds an irreplaceable position. It is famous for its flat route and beautiful environment, making it an ideal training ground for runners. Whether early in the morning or at dusk, runners can be seen doing warm-up jogs, long-distance training, and even marathon preparations.
Here, a unique running culture has gradually taken shape. Runners greet each other with the phrase “see you under the bridge,” which not only symbolizes an agreement but also represents mutual support, encouragement, and the spirit of striving together.
In this space, runners are no longer alone. The communication and camaraderie among them have turned Fuhe Bridge into a spiritual landmark that goes beyond its physical structure.
#Flippos Socks Design
The design of these socks is inspired by bridges, especially suspension bridges, symbolizing cultural nurturing, connection, and support.
The front of the sock captures the unique features of the famous runner’s route from Fuhe Bridge to Beixin Bridge, integrating city culture and running elements. It depicts graffiti along the way, road markings, and symbolic vocabulary such as “pedestrians first,” “zebra crossing,” “Jingmei,” and “Xindian,” showcasing how running interprets and connects with urban culture.
When flipped, the suspension bridge design becomes the visual focal point. The structure of the suspension bridge represents the role of bridges in the city, connecting spaces and people and symbolizing stability and strength.
To runners, bridges are not just part of a training route; they’re also a symbol of support, the pursuit of dreams, and pushing limits.
With innovative design, these socks integrate the spirit of Fuhe Bridge, extending runner culture so every step imbues the stability and strength that bridges bring.

Washing Instructions
The best washing method is hand washing. Avoid vigorous rubbing to extend product life.
If using a washing machine, place the socks (with the front side facing out) in a laundry bag, keep water temperature below 30°C, and use a neutral detergent (pH between 6 and 8).
Do not use bleach, fluorescent brighteners, or fabric softeners, and avoid soaking in sports-function detergents for too long.
Avoid powder detergents, as blocked micro-gaps in the sock can compromise its functionality.
If you have concerns about fading from using your own detergent, wash separately.
Wash light and dark colors separately, and do not soak or dry clean.
Avoid direct sunlight and tumble dryers; air-drying in the shade is recommended.
